Some of them I sent directly to the recipients and some sent directly to me. The one's I received in a very thin paper mailing bag and one of them was a bit banged up. Not the fault of the seller but a shipping issue. However, they should never have been shipped in a flimsy paper envelope I returned that damaged one and before I even made it to the UPS store to return it my replacement was received. I originally purchased a cheaper version of this and it was in a small jar, I had to affix a sticker myself which indicated which color represented which feeling (the sticker did not stick) and all the passages were folded over and shoved in the jar (this is not how it was pictured) so in order to get a passage out in a certain color, you had to remove the entire group of passages. I immediately went back to Amazon and looked for a better option. I only spent about $5 more and I can tell you, this one is great! It was packaged so nicely, you could choose the Bible version (the person I gifted to is Catholic so I chose the King James), the jar already had the color code affixed on the jar, and the jar had all the passages vertically in the jar to easily choose one. This is a really thoughtful gift for someone who values their faith.
